Original owner was Boyd Perry, this shingle cottage was built in 1923 and is located at 3238 McGavock Pike. This cottage was part of the original Perry farm which included the large Victorian house on Freno Lane. The Perry farm was called "Nutwood" and was later known to be the residence of former Tennessee Governor Albert H. Roberts. Sadie Roberts Capps and her husband, Paul bought the shingle cottage from Boyd Perry. Sadie Roberts Capps was the daughter of Governor Albert H. Roberts. This cottage was part of the former Governor's farm which comprised of 600 acres including Todd's Knob and was bounded the Stone's River.
